Hello Marika,

I just returned from dropping Sean off at the ferry terminal. We had a couple of really good days together. I do wish you were able to meet him. The pictures from your art event are great. Be strong. I am looking forward to seeing you. My thoughts are with you and your family. best joanne

Love the picture of you toasting your friends,Marika. It brings back many pleasant memories of evenings together in Montreal. We always loved those beautiful pewter plates & wine glasses on your dinner table.
We were so glad you & Dave made it John's 70th party here last September. You were VERY pleased at the time that you had conned Dave into wearing a jacket but I bet that was quite the norm on the Alaska cruise!

I still remember your wedding & yes, you looked lovely & Dave happy. John just reminded me that we were witnesses. HOWEVER our most vivid joint memory( FOREVER engraved in our brains) is going back to our apartment afterwards and my mother-in-law forbidding us OUR bed.( we were sleeping on a lilo during their VERY LONG visit) So we passed out ( on the lilo again) on the roof deck on a ferociously hot day!

Lots of funny memories of the past - Mark, the human dynamo wearing a Superman costume & climbing up our door. Maybe it was Spiderman which seems more in keeping.

John & I still go to the Centaur theatre. Remember when we used to see each other there? We could always spot that red hair in the audience! You would not know the area now as there are so many condos around, but the audience is much the same. (just more grey or bald heads)
Anyway you are in our thoughts & we both hope that you are rested & pain free. We are very glad that you have such a caring & supportive family.
Fondly
Jackie & John

Dear Marika,
We read the blog each day, it is good to keep up with your progress.
Our daughter Jayne, works in Liversedge Rd at the ANU, we often call for her to have lunch.
We drive past the apartment where you and David stayed and where we met up and then had dinner in Boffins.
We have only met a few times, once in Yorkshire (many moons ago) I have a photo of Jackie with our daughters Karen and Jayne, other times in Oz but have some good memories.
Our thoughts and good wishes are with you both
All the best
Hilary and Jack

I think I am being confused with Jacqueline Baldwin. The previous mssage was from Jackie Burrows- not the Stratford actress either!xx
