Some of the procedures for posting notes have become a bit clearer to me as time goes on here.
If you are reading the blog as one long page - that is, not clicking on the individual titles in the menu on the right - then you must click the Comments word underneath the posting. There might be a number which may or may not be grammatically correct, like '1 comments' - click there, not the envelope next to that word.
If you are clicking on each individual title, the comments will automatically show underneath the update. Underneath the final comment, it says 'Post a comment' - click that.
In both cases, another page will open up showing the comments on the left and a space to 'Leave your comment' on the upper right. Once you have typed your message in that box, scroll to the lower right of the page. It is easiest to choose one of the two lower choices: Name/URL or Anonymous. Click whichever you prefer; if Name, please enter your FIRST AND LAST names (no URL or web address necessary - it's optional), and if Anonymous please be certain to sign your full name at the end of your typed comment so Mum will know who your message is from...she knows many people with the same name, and initials won't be much help.

Mark, it seems we have to type in the'crazy' letters, scroll down and click anonymous and then click publish.........

Hi Marika: This is another try to send you my love-saw your exhibition and they have done a wonderful job with hanging your pieces. Your triptck looks wonderful on top of the other pictures.

Hello Dear Marika, This is not my first attempt to add to your blog but the previous seem to have been swallowed and digested by the computer. I have reread Mark's instructions carefully and am being optimistic. I am still in the East, NS again now and Montreal most of August. I thought of you often in Montreal knowing that it was your home before.
I have been following pictures and activities of the Madronnas by email, the garden tour, birthday party and art show and am so sorry not to be there with everyone. I spotted your pictures in the exhibit, ones I watched you paint in Goward House. What are you sketching in the hospital? I miss seeing your cheerul face amongst the group but can imagine you in the hospital cheering others with your wit and defiance of symptoms.
So glad your throat is getting better. I await the next stream of amusing and thoughtful emails you send us all!

Thinking about you and wishing you the best in going through the radiation treatments.
Matthew will not be able to have brachytherapt radiation and will undergo external radiation treatments very soon. we are positve about it all, prognosis looks good.
We had planned a trip west this fall but that is now on hold as he will undergo 37 treatments 5 days a week until they are complete.
We will keep in touch with you via the blog.
You are in our very positive thoughts everyday.
I loved the poem that J. Baldwin wrote for you.
I could picture you on the stage receiving it.

Hi Marianne, I just heard today that you've been through some pretty rough chemo treatment and I'm delighted to hear that you are improving day by day. What a great picture of you and David on your Alaska trip. That must have been a real treat. When we did our trip across the country we mad it as far as Hyder Alaska and that was a magnificent experience. It was the spawning season and we saw the salmon making their way back to the spawning grounds. It was a remarkable sight and the river was being patrolled by black bears and grizzlies. I never saw such courage as those salmon had- the kind of courage I associate with you. I appreciate this blog site and I will check in every day. The day you drink the scotch I'll drink one with you and for you. This message was written last Monday and I'm still not having any success sending it. Lots of Love, Dana

Hi Marika, I am so sorry to hear you have had such a rough time of it in hospital, but am very to relieved to see, from Mark's postings, that your sense of humour is still there, as always! It is one of the things I most cherish about you! I ran up to the Post Office first thing today to mail a card from Margaret, in which she enclosed photos of her latest quilts. I wanted to show her how to attach them to an email (so you could get them sooner!) but we did not have an email address for Mark (The Webmaster!) Actually, it seems, as I discovered by trial and error (mostly error, I'm afraid!) you can also click on Name/URL, put your name in (so you don't HAVE to be anonymous) and skip the URL.
